CATS- Creative Applied Thinking Skills

CATS, is one of the non-business modules i took this semester in np...


This module taught us abt using of brainstorming techniques to come up with new and creative ideas...


And before the last 2nd week of CATS,
We were to do a reflection on ''How has CAT helped me to be more creative”


What i did for the reflection was to rewrite the lyrics of a song...

How has CAT helped me to be more creative


The journey with CATS has been very interesting for me. Despite sounding like cats, CATS has absolutely nothing to do with the little furry monster that you can find in some people’s house. In fact, the only similarities you can find is that CATS is a capitalised version of cats. Yes, CATS don’t pee on your floor, neither do they claw your furniture. CATS don’t hop around and make noise. CATS is great. We all love CATS, truly.

On one hand, CATS teaches us how to spawn out ideas to solve problems. On the second hand, it demands the best and only the best solution to solve our problems. On the third hand, we don’t know what is the best solution. After all, how would a cat know what is the best way to assault a person?

Would a vertical slash on his face be best, or would a horizontal slash on his chest be better? Such questions are forced to stroll into our head every time. Each of this time, we are to pray that there is no dog in the vicinity, or else CATS are going down.
Also, we need to present what we have discovered. As such, much thought has to be given on how would we show what we have done to our CAT. The hard work, ingenuity and superior wit and CAT skills we have executed on our CAT should be presented in a way that fits it. Therefore, much work needs to be done.

Ultimately, CAT has shown us the steps necessary to identify, solve and evaluate a problem. Now, we just need to copy what we have done for CATS in the rest of our lives, so that we can live happy ever after. I need 10 more words, now less, now even less. And now, I am done and can live happily ever after. Good day.

Today, during my S&W(Sports and Wellness) lesson,
Almost ALL the girls from my class PON-ed today's lesson...


Only 3 girls turned up today...




With only 11 guys and 3 girls, the coach told the guys to have full court 5v5 game..


the 3 girls were sitting alongside with the coach during the game(cunning), and the 1 guy was a bench player for one of the team...





I should say, my teammates did great in terms of grabbing the rebounds and helping when one of our teammates was being double team-ed...


I think that today's game was fun


and i confessed that i played quite ok~ ^~^


After the lesson, i was chatting with Face and another of my fren when the coach approached...


At that point, i was overwhelmed by the NP Head Coach's aura


Coach: How old are you?
Me: =.='' 17+
Coach: Are you formerly from ur secondary school's basketball team?
Me(Blushing): erh no...
Coach: where you stay?
Me: Taman Jurong
Coach: Orhh....you play for the TamanJurong CC's basketball team?
Me(secretly laughing~): haha..no..i just play with my frens during my free time
Coach: you know what is 少年杯?
Me: Sorry..no..
Coach: you wana play for the 少年杯? under 19 category de...
Me: It sounded like a national competition and i will be expecting pros from different well-known school team...I dont think i am up for to...
Coach: Well, you dont have to be very good to play for 少年杯..


OWNED!!!!




In the end i din give an answer to the coach's question...
Of whether i wana join and play for 少年杯 anot...


But i doubt that i will join...


To achieve succeedsuccess,
commitment will be expected from you,
most of your time will have to be sacrificed,


i dont tink i am up for it...


i am just happy that my basketball skills was noticed by the coach...

Guild Outing Day-30/12/2008

Today at abt 7.55am, i had ncc training at fuhua...

Derek brought his Adrian's guitar today for training...

At first i thought,

HUH?

why did Derek brought Adrian's guitar when i am going to buy from Derek his?

Me: huh? Adrian's guitar?

Derek: Ya, this is Adrian's guitar. I am selling on behalf of him lah.

Me: oh...

So after i handed him the $30,

This is officially my guitar!!

Woohoo~

hmm...

In this training,

we had a Farewell Presentation to Mr Philip Lau, fuhua teacher/one of the ncc-in-charge

Why?

Cos he will be retiring next year...

So sad...

Yea...

transferred to fuhua for 2years only...

We'll all miss him and wish all the best for his laxing retirement life...

After the training,

went home to have a quick bath, and charged headed str to jurong point...

Was suppose to meet xueying to return her 'twilight' book at 2pm,

but i reached home from fuhua at 1.30pm,

leave my house at 1.50pm,

i was late...

After returning the book to her,

i called Ah HOOT~ Fa Dian~ Zhenwei...

And So, i laxing-ly went to have my prata and teh there...

After that,

i was at the void deck under zhenwei's house for 40+mins, but zhenwei was nowhere to be seen...

And so, i called him...

Me: Where you now?!

Zw: Laxing~..i now at blk175 here playing poker with kent, albin and weiying...

Me: WTF 妈的 Roar!!

Zw: okok...finishing soon...

Me: weakness....

Soon after, zhenwei came and i went to his house to laxing to wait for the bbq at 5.30pm...

After a long wait, we're off to bbq~

For your information, if you guys already forgotten the title of this post,

This bbq was WTBC guild bbq...

WTBC is a guild that is quite well known in maplestory...

Those who came for the bbq were members of WTBC...

And yes, Face is a member of WTBC too...

and the rest are Me, Yq, Zy, Ger, Deb, Zw, Jun, Dap, Mt, Eunice, Wei, Andy, Th, Lays, Gladys and her friend, XiuHui

With most of the credit to Zy, the bbq fire started!!

I cooked the first 2 sausages and ordered asked Mt to serve the sausages to Gladys and her friend, Xiuhui...

I am such a nice guy, giving Mt the chance to be gentleman...

Subsequently, for the other cooked food, i let the rest have the food,

Left me and Zy cooking...

Hey people


Today i should be going to gym with 'brothers'...

but i din go...

Injuries

Ytd we had our usual bball session at Artpark

Me,Yq,Xb,Mt,Wei

Tony,Sperm,Alvin,Albin,Face,Kavan,Kang, Xc

and Cherwin...

Small details refer to Mingtheong's blog at the right side, under 'byebye'...

Here i am just going to say abt the injuries that me and some others had suffered during the session...

Victim 1: Kavan

Xb was going for a layup and attempting to draw a foul

Yq went to block the layup and fouled him

Kavan was there at the scene and was in Xb's way...

Kavan was elbowed by xb at the side of his head...

Kavan was then sent home and never came back...

Victim 2: Cherwin

He was doing his 'Hand Of God' thingy under the basket when he suddenly stopped, fell to the ground and ding ge-ed

The rest crowded in a circle around him and ding ge-ed with him..

Only i came in to help him


Me: Your Right Leg Cramp?


Cherwin: :'O YES~


And he just kept crying...

Me: You just relax...i will help you...

I Immediately transferred my 'meng' qi directly to Cherwin's affected leg...


Halfway through the treatment,

i realised that my 'meng' qi was too strong and powerful for Cherwin's weak leg to handle,

i asked Mt to help transfer some of his weak inner energy into Cherwin's body to neutralise some of my 'meng' qi...

Alvin oso helped transfering some of his inner energy...

After a great deal of rescue operation,
I We saved Cherwin's life.

And he was sent to the hospital straight after...

PS: Cherwin is undergoing Nursing Course in Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Victim 3:Yang Qing

Yq was under the basket, trying to get the hoot hoop shot to go in..


First shot missed


Grabbed his own rebound


2nd shot missed again
Going for the rebound when he was elbowed by one of the defenders under the basket
He suffered a bruise just a few inches above his eye
Just his luck man...

Victim 4: Me

One time Mt got the rebound,

he was going to clear the ball,

when he was going past me,

his knee attacked my right knee...

The bruise at my knee now is DAMN BIG & PAINFUL

Hurts like @#$%^%$#

Another time i was attempting to do a layup

i was in the air when someone was below me

i was sort of lost my balance and fell to the ground with both my hands on the ground and my right knee on the ground

It Hurts...

Both my Wrists,
my right knee #$%^& for the 2nd time...

Well, naively thinking that after a night's rest, my injuries will be better,

i went to bed ard 12mn, missing 我猜我猜我猜猜猜,

when i woke up just now, i cant move my body...

my knee still hurts like #$%^&

my wrists still hurt
the back of my neck, my right ankle, both my thighs, my back,
EVERYWHERE HURTS!!

And so, i din go to gym today...

Sad...

In Malaysia, my only way of communicating with the outside world peeps in Singapore was via MSN...

To add on to that, the internet there in Malaysia was RETARDATION very slow...

So i would be replying at a retardation very slow speed...

Well, this trip to Malaysia was to visit my grandma and the rest of my relatives there

cos it had been 2-3 years since i last visited them...

This visit there made me realise alot of things...

I am no longer the small kid 2-3 years ago

Some Cousins there are no longer the short small kids 2-3 years back

Some Cousins there are still like the small kids 2-3 years back then

I am no longer the tallest le

In this post i will only focus on 2 of my cousins there in Malaysia...

Me: Hey Hello!!!

Carrying the luggage up the stairs, where my room for the week was

JW(cousin-male): harlo~!!

*both hands waving at me, with a big smile on his face

I was stunned there for a moment...

Cos JW was taller than me le!!

WP(cousin-female): heyo ~姐姐哥哥^^

*one hand waving and her alternate foot lifting up

Obviously WP was attempting to act cute be more friendly...

Note that she was only one year younger than me...

why WP called me 姐姐哥哥?

NO its not that i'm a gay...

To conclude the visit to Malaysia,

First for some past updates...

Thursday

i went to have seoul garden for late lunch/dinner/belated birthday celebration for Tony and Zhenwei,

with Yq, mt, wei, xb, face, and of cos, Tony and zhenwei...

Ate so much that i cant even see my foot when i stand up...

Madness...

Friday

Went to Art Park for bball.

With Mt, Xb,Wei,Yq, Alvin, Albin, Zw, Face, Tony and Sperm.

Not affected by the few short intervals of rain, we had quite a few intense and fierce matches...

One time under the basket, the ball was on the ground up for grabs,

When i grabbed the ball with both my hands,

mt suddenly came in front of me and tried to snatch the ball from my hands...

He then curbed his body to protect the ball...

Despite his effort, my hands were still holding tightly to the ball...

At that point of time, the Mengliness monster in me just took over me,

Of what i can recall subconsciously, i was trying to get the ball from mt...

i was swinging mt from side to side but mt still dont give up...

Of my last attempt, i threw mt from my right to my left,

I saw blood started to drip out from mt's cracked skull and from mt's mouth...

The last thing i could remember was the rest pulling the both of us away...

When i came to conscious, i was lying at the side of the bball court...

Me: What happened?Where is mt?...ARGH..My head hurts...

The Rest: WHAT? CANT YOU EVEN RMB ANYTHING?

The Rest all pointed towards the audience stand, where mt was treated and bandaged...

So Sorry....

Still Brothers...

That night at 10.30pm, i met up with the same people except tony and wei, for supper...

"Power Nasi "@ BoonLay Food Centre, which opens only at night...

Its my 2nd time having supper at Power Nasi...

The food was nice...

For me, i think that a game is to provide entertainment and brings enjoyment to the person playing the game...


BUT for Maplestory...
i don't think so...


Maplestory totally defeated the objectives of a 'game'




Brief History of Maplestory...

Maplestory to me, is a stressful, time wasting, unhealthy game...


I just don't get it...


Why will people be interested and addicted to this kinda 2-D online game?




Here, i will list out some possible reasons as to why...


1. You are a loner, low self-esteem, loser, no-life kinda person...
You don't like(Lazy) to go out,
you have no friends in the real world,
you think that the character's face in Maplestory is more handsome than you.


2. Peer Pressure...
You don't like to stay at home to rott...
You asked your friends through msn to come out and play basketball or for a casual chit chatting session, but they din reply...
Called/SMSed them, only to find out that they are mapling and they don't want to go out...
If you cant stop them, join them...
PS: Not necessarily applies to other games like DOTA


3. 'Supportive' Family Member(s)...
No money to buy maple A-Cash Cards, mother sponsor...
No time to play and train your maple character(s), mother play for you...
Wei's Mother is the BEST...

If i were to be studying at scary place earlier today...
I would already have covered 2.5weeks of itb...

you probably would have guessed what will be the title for this post...

Today Mt and i went to the morning session

Having to wake up freaking early and to report for lesson at 8am issit much of a problem for me as my s&w lesson is on friday morning...

BUT...

The weak botak s&w teacher pissed me and Mt off

Here, weak botak s&w teacher shall be known as Weak Botak...

Weak Botak turned up at the basketball court with basketballs...


Me: We(Mt and i) came for make-up lesson...

Weak Botak ignored us...

Me: My s&w lesson is on friday but you see, i have a paper the following day and so i was thinking of coming for...

Weak Botak face changed...

Weak Botak: i don't care...i cant have you in my class...


Me: 0.0!!

Weak Botak: you cant come as and when you like...you got to have an appointment...blahblah...

Me: what the...




When i was abt to leave the court,
out of courtesy, i asked Weak Botak if i can go anot...

Me: erh..so can i go now?

Weak Botak diao at me and then turned his back at me

Weak Botak: Up to you...i don't care about you anyway..you are not in my class...blahblah...

(In my mind): Fu.k...sia...

i then walked off...

After 15mins, Mt called me...

Mt was rejected by Weak Botak too...

And he joined me to play bball on our own at the other bball courts...

Unhappy craps aside...

If you all don't know, i am the vice-president of the GWA,
which stands for Girl Watching Association...


Being very professional and serious in my duties, its difficult for me to not grade watch girls(chio ones)...




Secondly,


As a guy/male/meng, its Perfectly Normal to have my attention drawn into watching girls...

Saturday = Disappointments , Sunday = GREAT

Saturday's class gathering was a disappointment...

only 8 people turned up...

apart from the me, xb and yq, who always 撑场面 for every event...

a BIG thanks and appreciations to,

Jianhao, for coming despite the absence of amanda...

Huanghao, to make the effort to come straight after he ended his band session...

Siyun, to have rejected dinner with her parents to come for class gathering...

Xianling, for turning up despite her cold&flu...

Lays, for making the effort to join us at ard 8plus as she had sth on that afternoon...

So there,

the 8 of us have every valid reason not to come for the class gathering...

But we kept our word and came for the class gathering...

What abt the rest of the class?

Some prep for exams, some go johor, some... ...

Disappointed...

well, we had dinner at Just noodles and then after...

Siyun: hey...go where now?...

Xb: dono leh..

Xianling: you all wana go where?

Me: hey..why not go the fountain of fortune?..yq u can take this time to wash off all ur bad luck...

Yq: GOOD!!..OK!

Huanghao: HUH~ go fountain...

JianHao: haha...

Me: Common test coming soon oso...can wish for better results...

All: MANLY~

We then made our way to the fountain of fortune...

We went circles round the center of the fountain...


I started splashing water at them...


They started to retaliate...


Where 6 v 1 happens


i lost...

I am halfway drenched...

i asked if my hair was messy...


the 6 of them ignored me...

i ignored them...

one man beside me ran off as he also got 'attacked' by the 6...


subsequently siyun and xianling exit the fountain too..

after that, we waited for lays and see siyun off..

We went to the kpool for a few rounds to try out of the fountain was of any effect...

Although my shooting accuracy wasnt very good, i managed to win every game...


Yq on the other hand...din do very well...


one game he had the black ball in the side pocket...


And he lost...

weak Sad...

Sunday i went to my grandma hse...

Saw my nieces and had quite a few of photos taken...

Aint them beautiful~

I then left my grandma hse and met up with

Xb,Mt,Yq,Wei

Tony,Alvin,Eddy,

Cy, Albin, Zw , Kavan, Zq and Shiyuan at Artpark for bball.

I din managed to block Mt's ball but T-mac unfortunately became my prey...

i blocked him 2-3 times today...

Finally, before i go...

i would like to say that,

i will not be blogging for abt one month as i will be having my CommonTest next week!!

Lots of stuffs to do after that..like...
